[Colouring] tab (dual-colour printers only)


Sets ink colours printed, print drum and colouring conditions.

Mono-colour Print
Select when printing with one colour. The ink colour and drum can be specified.

[Items that can be set]
- Colour label When clicking the [Refresh] button and information acquired, the ink colour set for printer Colour 1 is displayed.
- Specify the drum The drum where the ink colour you specified in Colour label is displayed.

Dual-colour Print
If Dual-colour Print is selected, text/line art parts, photo parts in the document can be printed in dual-colour independently.

[Items that can be set]
- Print with the current drums If checked, the names of the ink colour set for printer Colour 1 and Colour 2 are displayed.
- Colour 1/Colour 2 When any print ink colour is specified, set the ink colour you want for printing manually from the ink colours registered in the controller using the pull-down menu.
- Use “Auto quick Dual colour” If checked, the “Text/Line Art” and “Photo Images” colour-separation are set to the recommended colour-separating parameters.

- Text/Line Art
All->Colour 1 Text/Line Art is printed using Colour 1.
All->Colour 2 Text/Line Art is printed using Colour 2.
RGB->Colour 1/B&W->Colour 2 The colour parts of Text/Line Art are printed with Colour 1 and black (grey) with Colour 2.
Red->Colour 1/Others->Colour 2 The colour parts of Text/Line Art are printed with red, yellow and magenta for Colour 1 and blue, green, black, etc. for Colour 2.
B&W->Colour 1/RGB->Colour 2 The colour parts of Text/Line Art are printed with Colour 2 and black (grey) with Colour 1.
Others->Colour 1/Red->Colour 2 The red, yellow, magenta an other parts of Text/Line Art are printed with Colour 2 and blue, green, black, etc. with Colour 2.

- Photo Images
All->Colour 1 Photo image parts are printed using Colour 1.
All->Colour 2 Photo image parts are printed using Colour 2.
Red->Colour 1/Black->Colour 2 The colouring process is carried out to reproduce colour photos with dual colour. Make selections according to the ink colour when printing. Perform colouring envisioning the ink colours set for Colour 1 and Colour 2. There is no need to select colouring with the same colours as are actually set, but when printing is done with those colours, the colouring process will be closer to the colours of the original photo image.

- Printing Process
Colour 1 & 2 Data The original is colour-separated, and masters are made with Colour 1 and 2.
Colour 1 Data Only Master making with Colour 1 only, printing with both drums.
Colour 2 Data Only Master making with Colour 2 only, printing with both drums.

Refresh
By clicking this button, the displayed colour in Colour (Drum) is updated.

Default
Resets the settings in [Colouring] to their initial values.
